History has been made. Finally the teams from TUMKUR made it to the finals of primary school boys and won both the Gold and Silver medals. What next? Goal setting and goal achieving have to be continuous processes.
These victories should be like beacons to other schools of Tumkur. The journey that has just begun must be sustained by continuous effort. We cannot stop now.

IT STANDS CANCELLED. Examinations are like predators looking out to `destroy' the joy of living of even small children. But we will think up something TIPTUR children. We will not let you down.
The basketball court at Govt. High School, Halepalya should be ready within 2-3 weeks. But the dream is to have a cement court next to the stadium. I MUST WRITE - I MUST MEET PEOPLE - I MUST EVOLVE!

TIPTUR BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT ON 21st Feb & 22nd Feb, 2009
SUMPOORNA has put its foot on the accelerator for promoting basketball - after all the year 2009 has already been declared as THE YEAR OF SUMPOORNA BASKETBALL. Now comes the news that there will be a basketball tournament in Tiptur. In Kalpaturu Institute of Technology.
Hopefully it will kickstart the grass root revolution that we are continuously striving for. LOOK OUT TIPTUR - THE HOOP MANIACS ARE COMING!
SIRA is also likely to get its shooting boards by the end of this month. Chikkanayakanahalli - any time now. Though the speed is not fast - yet change is coming.

SUMPOORNA CUP 2009 - A GRAND SUCCESS!
Two days of `match' after `match' - finally it is over. I can now smile a little bit. TUMKUR is finally a basketball destination. Competition is heating up and you can see players trying to adapt to this game which is an exciting conflict between individual versus team play.
No more doubts remain - we are on the right path. THE JOY OF THE CHILD IS MUST - LET BASKETBALL BE OUR MEDIUM TO PROVIDE THEM THIS OPPORTUNITY.
Support is coming from unexpected quarters, especially when we are down and out. Permissions were a big subject - hopefully this can be taken care off in future; in a better way.
